The Tellico Village Community Church project included designing a pond heat exchanger type water source heat pump system to serve the new 27,770 square feet sanctuary addition, as well as 22,900 square feet of existing classrooms and the renovation of the existing chapel.  The pond heat exchanger is capable of providing 100% of cooling (183 tons) and about 1/3 of the heating required for the entire facility.  The balance of the heating required is made up by a gas-fired boiler connected to the circulating loop.  The water source heat pump units are located in mechanical closets throughout the facility.
